Job Description
Under general direction, responsible for ensuring the control, integrity, and accessibility of the Internet/intranet for the enterprise. This includes:
Installing upgrades, updates, patches, and extensions to web server systems in support of business and architectural requirements
Creating and maintaining scripts for automating routine or frequent maintenance tasks
Creating and maintaining technical documentation needed for supporting the Internet/Intranet server infrastructure
Providing support to web design teams and power users for sites under development in development, testing, and production environments
Monitoring and tuning web servers for optimal performance, availability, responsiveness, and security; this includes working closely with network security, database, and virtualization and storage teams to maintain the integrity of the environment
Troubleshooting and taking corrective actions as needed to resolve web server issues and problems; this includes working with product and service vendors and with business customers, as required
Setting up and periodic testing of disaster recovery and business continuity procedures and environments
Conducting routine hardware and software audits of web servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
Following established change management procedures regarding installation and testing of all upgrades and enhancements for the Internet/Intranet infrastructure
Working on multiple projects either individually or as a project team member and, occasionally, as a lead
Providing coaching to more junior technical staff

This is a senior-level position and requires good communications skills, both written and verbal, and excellent analytical/problem-solving skills.
Requirements
A minimum of seven (7) years of IT work experience is required. High level of expertise in multiple system environments with emphasis in Windows Server operating systems, IIS, network topology, and Active Directory is also required. Knowledgeable in all levels of Internet/Web security and the associated requirements for their application.
Preferences
A BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related field is preferred. Also, hands-on familiarity with web content management systems like DNN and SharePoint is preferred.
