Job overview:
Customer engineering supports customers with all aspects of embedded software and systems development. This includes assisting OEMs in designs, providing technical training, issue debugging, optimizing and integrating software. It exposes the candidate to the key players in the wireless industry worldwide and places him or her right in the heart of the dynamism of wireless deployment. This position is responsible for supporting IOT Linux/Android BSP solution for our chipsets customers. The role requires interfacing with the engineers at customers and wireless carriers worldwide. Training, assisting customers in software design, integration, development, system debugging, handling customer Q&A and interfacing closely with internal developers are the key activities required in this position.

Minimum qualification:
Strong software debugging skills on embedded system.
Knowledge of Embedded Linux Kernel architecture, drivers, and operation
Strong C development and debugging skills
Experience in one or more of the following areas: - Linux kernel, BSP, bootloader, or board bring-up. - Linux device drivers (e.g. NAND, SDIO, LCD, USB - Embedded/mobile Linux frameworks. - Android handset or tablet with Qualcomm chipset is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly

Preferred qualification:
Prior experience with portable hand-held devices and technical support for customers desirable.
* Embedded or wireless system software development and integration on telecommunications devices.
* Familiarity with ARM architecture, ARM assembly, emulators/JTAG-debuggers, test-mobiles test equipment such as Oscilloscope/Logic Analyzers, test-mobiles & logging tools.
* Ability to work as part of a dedicated project team and independently.
