Position : Sr. Scrum Master
Location : Norfolk, VA
Duration : 6+ months Contract
Job Description:
Responsible for operational excellence by facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, daily scrum, and sprint reviews.
Resolve team conflicts and improve the behavior of the team members
Resolve team impediments
Serve as an Expert on the Scrum process and how best to use it to get a team to perform at its highest level
Coach the team and PO during estimation and backlog refinement to get appropriate sizing and acceptance criteria.
Coach the team to achieve steady, sustainable, and predictable burn rate; and assisting the Product owner to manage cost and budget
Helps team members improve individual performance in support of team goals.
Ensure cross-team coordination
Manages Product Owners expectations of the team
Improve team velocity by incorporating capacity planning into sprint planning sessions.
Track and manage product backlog, burn-down metrics, velocity, and task break-down.
Communicate project status to stakeholders and management
Enable close co-operation across all roles and functions, remove barriers
Maintain Task Boards to provide/have more visibility to Sprint Backlog
Job Qualification:
Must have Health care domain experience with claim process experience
Scrum Master experience with Scrum Master Certification
Nice to have RDBMS concept
Experience with JIRA or similar Agile execution and reporting tools
Demonstrated experience leading new product software development
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills
Ability to work with and support cross-functional development teams
Strong attention to detail and focus on task completion is critical
