JJob Title: Sr. SQL SERVER DBA
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Duration: full-time, direct hire
As a Sr. SQL SERVER DBA, you will design, develop, enhance and maintain all components of the client''s information technology DB systems. Perform analytical, procedural, and diagnostic processes aimed at designing, implementing, documenting, and supporting information technologies. Provide multi-level support for implemented systems.
Location: Louisville, KY (relocation assistance NOT provided)
Required: SQL SERVER DBA experience. Preference for candidates with experience in 2005 and 2008r2.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise in implementing and administering Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008 R2 on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2 and other Windows environments
Thorough understanding of application lifecycle management processes, including planning, design, development, maintenance and management of multi-terabyte OLTP/OLAP databases in a 24/7 support environment
Knowledge of DBMS internals and how they work in an OLTP and OLAP environment
Knowledge of query optimization
Knowledge of Windows scripting to perform database administration functions
Knowledge of backup and recovery and log shipping/mirroring
Knowledge of integration with SAN storage technologies and security/access requests, including verification and granting permissions, licensing agreements and management
