JOB PURPOSE:
Lead the planning, managing and delivery of projects and associated deliverables in support of organizational objectives within the Interactive Group of the Marketing Division.

Projects are executed using an agile (SCRUM) methodology. Facilitate iteration (sprint) planning, lead work within individual sprints, and coordinate retrospectives and demos. Assist key business users (product owners) with backlog creation and prioritization. Ensure cross functional team coordination (GUI designers, analysts, developers, and testers Lead daily sprint stand-ups and resolve conflict. Maintain and publish Agile metrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down Coach, mentor, and evangelize Agile best practices across the organization. Manage project external dependencies by working with outside teams. Strategically work complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Creates and manages Sprint plans for campaign launches to execute on time, accurately and within budget, such that work is done in a repeatable and predictable manner. Includes planning, plan creation and ongoing management, execution and implementation.

Directs project activities to maintain progress, mutual interaction, and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs. Builds, develops, and grows business relationships with project stakeholders at multiple levels and multiple locations. Maintains continuous alignment with defined strategic business objectives. Coaches, mentors, motivates and coordinates project team members and contractors, and influences them to take positive action and maintain accountability for their assigned work. Leads the implementation of projects as assigned by iGroup Management.


Essential Job Functions
Uses a relatively high degree of concentration to manage iGroup agile projects as assigned. Includes working with iGroup management to involve creative resources as appropriate. Negotiates sprint timelines and scope diplomatically, and maintains composure and production quality under deadline pressure. Manages projects through to completion through multiple sprint cycles with minimal direction. Performs essential job functions in an established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.

Develops and maintains sprint backlog to manage the execution of interactive software development projects in support of Marketing/fundraising programs. Proactively identifies changes in scope of work, ensuring appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of work within sprints. Updates sprint and product backlogs as necessary.

Solid general knowledge of interactive, web-based technologies encompassing front- end (GUI development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Json, Ajax, etc, back-end (SOAP and Restful Web services, Oracle and SQL database) and supporting infrastructure (Web and Application servers - Apache, Weblogic, JBoss), security (HTTPS/SSL, SSO), etc.

Creates and provides detailed status reports and maintains the project using tools and software for management of tasks and project teams within an agile (SCRUM) framework. Familiar with tools supporting the agile software development lifecycle (Jira, Quality Center, Rally, Pivotal, GreenHopper, MS Project, MS Office, etc Requires use of a personal computer. Leads all aspects of the project including initiation, planning, monitoring, implementation and closing. Uses critical path methodology and change management skills to manage assigned projects.

Builds and maintains positive relationships with partner departments by providing timely support; actively seeks solutions to address process or creative production challenges. Ensures completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; tracks milestones and timelines across projects and institutes necessary work flow, mobilizes appropriate resources and analyzes issues that have potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables timelines.

Requirements
Knowledge - Requires thorough knowledge of general management methods within non- profit agencies; speak and write in a clear and understandable manner; Understands complex verbal or written instructions. Must be well organized and systematic in work processes, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with groups and in the conduct of meetings; ability to work well individually within a team environment; delegate and share decision-making with team members as appropriate. Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead agile project personnel, exercising strong interpersonal skills; Experience managing distributed SCRUM teams in a global set-up; communicate effectively with offsite team members to ensure team cohesiveness and coordination. Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures. Knowledgeable on agile practices for quality software development and delivery. Thorough understanding of the agile software development lifecycle. Knowledge of patterns and techniques for the SCRUM approach (example: Burndown techniques, Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc manage multiple sprints simultaneously. Thorough knowledge of English spelling, grammar and usage; excellent typing skills and detailed knowledge of all mediums of communications and tools used in those mediums; knowledge ordinarily acquired through bachelor''s degree and 4 years’ experience in ITS or engineering involving project planning, project plan creation and ongoing management, execution and implementation. MBA is preferred. PMP with SCRUM Master Certification is preferred. Requires valid driver''s license.
