Technical/Functional Skills :

Sr. RF Circuit Design Engineer. BSEE minimum. 7-10 years exp. Qualcomm handheld/smartphone device experience is a must
8-12 years of practical industry experience in designing with RF circuits using the latest Smartphone chipsets (i.e., Qualcomm, Intel, MediaTek, etc with a deep understanding of electromagnetic fields and microwaves
Relevant working experience in RF system integration for handheld, battery-operated mobile device applications is preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in Link Budget, Blocking and jamming analysis
Familiarity with RF/EM CAD simulation (i.e., ADS, CST, etc to perform PCB simulation of RF circuits & electronic assemblies
Hands-on experience with dense PCB board layout of RF circuits & modules; in-depth knowledge of design techniques used in designing for consideration of co-located, high-power transceivers and highly-sensitive radio receivers for RF coexistence & EMI/ESD compliance
Ability to successfully work in a cross-functional development environment, as well as independently with motivation and self-direction


Roles & Responsibilities:
As Senior RF Design Engineer you would primarily be responsible for leading the research, design & development of mobile device RF circuits, radios, and/or RF-subsystems for handheld battery-operated Enterprise-class, data & voice enabled smart-devices. You would be working in a global situated, cross-functional project development team environment, where your primary responsibilities shall include:
Specifying and reviewing the product RF technical requirements from Product Marketing
As the RF Lead on cross-functional product team you would be representing the core RF team; scoping out the RF project’s level of effort and communicating: development status to schedule milestones, technical and/or schedule issues and problem resolution plans to the program team
Selecting chipset architectures & components for multiple wireless technologies over multiple frequency bands (i.e., 13.56MHz; 700MHz to 6GHz, including but not limited to: GSM, LTE, CDMA, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11n/ac, NFC, BT)
Ensuring the overall RF/antenna system solution will fully satisfy target customer/Regulatory/Carrier performance requirements
Creating RF Link Budgets, Blocking & Jamming analyses and performing RF circuit/system simulations
Creating highly-efficient and thorough RF/system test plans & procedures
Performing hands-on RF integration and debug experiments of RF circuitry using commercial lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, base station emulators, signal simulators, network analyzers and OTA/MIMO measurement chambers, etc.
Directing & overseeing all aspects of associated RF/system testing in-House or at an external 3rd-parties
Providing RF technical management of third-party designers of RF circuits and sub-system solutions
Efficiently expedite responses & solutions to Customer queries & issues on Fielded products
Additionally as a Senior RF Design Engineer within EMV you will also:
Research novel RF subsystem technologies & solutions leading to patentable ideas
Continuously looking to improve the RF process and R&D tools using the latest software & testing methods
Provide guidance to other groups in resolving RF/system performance issues pertaining to either the RF/radio/antenna design elements or their integration within the target embodiments
Mentor & train jr.engineers in best practices in design & test methods
