Job Overview: SoftClouds LLC is looking for a Sr. QA Engineer - Automation with at least 6 years of experience in creating automation libraries that are used to build automated tests using C# and Selenium WebDriver that test web applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:-
Develop automation test plans/strategies and report on product quality and stability.
Experience coding automation test cases using a programming language within an automation testing tool and the ability to learn other programming languages to code automation test cases.
In depth knowledge and experience in using testing automation tools and frameworks (such as Selenium/WebDriver, Protractor, JUnit or similar
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable test automation solutions.
Develop high quality automation test engineering best practices, test strategy and principles.
Devise and execute training, where appropriate, to develop and elevate the automation skills within the team.
Partner with Software Engineers, UX/UI, and quality Engineers, Product Owners/Analysts to deliver high quality products.
Be knowledgeable of automation framework concepts and automation best practices
Participate in automation script code reviews and provide guidance on automation best practices
Coordinates various test-related activities for project delivery; identifying task dependencies, test schedules, creation of test data and utilization of test environments.
Work with the team to develop and monitor test metrics and provide timely communication to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
Develop, implement and maintain manual/automated testing systems and environments.
Extensive experience in UI & Backend automation testing
Constantly examine quality processes for inefficiencies and makes improvements.
Involved in reproducing and troubleshooting issues.
Perform test data analysis and validation.
Required skills and experience
6+ years QA experience, with a minimum of 4 years' experience in automated testing.
Experience testing Angular with specific tools like Protractor (or similar) is required.
Ideally working knowledge of Selenium Web-Driver (QTP, Appium, Rational Robot, HP QC, etc. area also acceptable)
Knowledge and experience in Selenium or similar based test automation.
Experience in Web services (WCF and REST)
Experience testing with projects that use AJAX, JSON, JavaScript, HTML, XML and SQL.
Experience working in a C# ASP.NET or Java environment is a huge plus
Ability to write test cases, test plans
Experience with Continuous integration tools like Jenkins is a strong plus
Working knowledge of API testing and Unit testing is a strong plus
Education / Experience:-
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field required.
