Should have worked on large projects , credit risk experience , Agile and good comm skills . Not a technical PM . Should come from App Dev background and not from Infrastructure background
The Planning Change and Delivery group in client helps shape the Portfolio by driving alignment to Strategy and Value, facilitating discovery and solidifying Change Definition, managing bank wide capacity planning and prioritization, leading the quality delivery of bank wide and technology change, and defining the organizational change methodology and governance model.
Overall purpose of role:
A Senior Project Manager leads complex projects with high visibility within the organization and engages with members of senior leadership teams. In addition, the Senior Project Manager serves as a mentor to junior project managers and provides feedback to the PMO on process effectiveness and areas for improvement.
Key Accountabilities and Skills Required:
Manages multiple projects or a single project with a high level of complexity such as cross-department stakeholders, cross-division division stakeholders, or more than one geographic location.
Work with Accountable Executives and Solutions Engineers to define, initiate, plan, and deliver assigned projects within agreed timeline and cost baseline
Develop project budget, monitor project spending against the plan, and request additional funding as needed
20% Solution Definition
Identify impacted business and technical teams, obtain SMEs from the impacted areas, and work with Solutions Engineer to define project requirements, delivery approach, and technical designs
Manage the Progressive Elaboration process to obtain story level estimates for project work and define project funding requirements
30% Schedule Management
Develop a timeline for project planning and delivery, monitor progress, and ensure that conflicts are resolved in a timely manner
Ensure that all project work is recorded and up to date in the project delivery tool
Resolve post-implementation warranty issues within established schedule and ensure project closure activities are completed by defined end date
