Sr. Pro Service Delivery Engineer Overview
The delivery engineer is expected to work directly with customers, and the ideal candidate will possess an analytical mind, excellent communication skills and a successful track record in a similar role. The candidate must have the desire and determination to successfully deliver solutions, and be knowledgeable about our client’s high-value solutions that enable our customers to solve business problems and maximize their return on investment.
The delivery engineer will work closely with the solutions architect to implement our customer’s service assurance requirements across physical and virtual network topologies into specific product and/or service solutions. This individual will need to establish a collaborative process to implement practical plans from requirements documentation and high-level network designs. This also includes the deployment of micro services and collaboration with the solutions architect to implement aspects of micro-services and regulate DevOps deliverables.
Senior delivery engineers applying for this position should have a strong combination of virtual software and technical architecture knowledge.
Sr. Pro Service Delivery Engineer Responsibilities
Help define API’s and data models to work with customers systems.
Analyze and evaluate test results and validate proper operation.
Conduct operations and business reviews to identify process and KPI metric improvements.
Work with customer to enter stories and align sprints for solution rollout.
Integrate and automate architecture blueprint designs around virtual infrastructure and DevOp’s.
Participate and contribute in design discussions & client meetings.
Foster relationships and collaboration with clients to establish our client’s leadership in meeting complex customer service assurance requirements.
Support the business through collaboration with product management on product documentation.
Work closely with clients, partners, other architects and project managers to deliver scalable, re-usable, and well-documented solutions.
Sr. Pro Service Delivery Engineer Mandatory Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in telecommunications network design or deployment.
Diverse knowledge with Microservices operations and architectures.
Hands-on DevOps experience, Containers/Dockers, Continuous Integration and delivery.
Experience working with Tier 1 and 2 carriers and MSO’s implementing large scale service assurance solutions.
Strong networking background, specifically in carrier networks and services.
Knowledge of java, javascript, jquery, RESTful, JSON and related technologies.
Protocols and Standards: Ethernet, SDN Technologies and Principles, OSPF, BGP, RTP, RTCP, Netconf-Yang.
Networking: Wan, Lan, Man, Data Center.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have knowledge of API’s – REST, Swagger.
Excellent communication and writing skills, including creating of method of procedures (MOP) as required.
Data model knowledge – YANG.
Agile development process experience with continuous integration and delivery.
Knowledge of java, javascript, jquery, RESTful, JSON and related technologies.
Sr. Pro Service Delivery Engineer Preferred Skills
Some experience working with Tier 1 and 2 carriers, NEMS and MSO’s.
Pro services delivery experience in evolving Ethernet services.
New technologies including SDN/NFV.
