Position: Sr PostgreSQL DBA
Location: Cypress, CA or Eden Prairie, MN
Duration: 6+ Months

Must Have:
PostgreSQL aka Postgres development experience - standing up from scratch, managing and putting into production over 20 plus PostgreSQL DB''s as Docker Containers. They need to be able to do Performance Tuning for Postgres, because most of the issues will be dealing with a slow database and then suggesting Indexes. This application has very high workloads (30,000 transactions per second
PostgreSQL Bi Directional Replication and clustering - This is crucial, because they will be installing a real time production DB and then they have to replicate the same PostgreSQL DB 20 times, which includes 34 instances.
PostgreSQL Installation, Database Partitioning
PostgreSQL Certification is a must
Oracle RAC 12g support experience
Toad OR DB Visualizer or any similar tools - They will accept any client to connect to the Database, but TOAD and DB Visualizer are the most commonly used tools.
Linux and Shell Scripting
Randstad Technologies has an immediate need for a Senior PostgreSQL Database Administrator for a Healthcare client of ours in Orange County.
Responsibilities:
The entire engagement demands a very hands on Consultant who will be the sole contributor to postgreSQL. Some of the functions the contractor will perform hands on are:
- standing up from scratch, managing and putting into production over 20 plus PostgreSQL Databases as Docker Containers
- postgreSQL Bi Directional Replication
- postgreSQL Database Analysis and Design
- postgreSQL Installation
- postgreSQL Performance Tuning for very high workloads (30k transactions per second)
- postgreSQL Database Partitioning
- postgreSQL Geo separated High Availability
Required:
1. postgreSQL
2. Toad OR DB Visualizer or any similar tools

5. postgreSQL with Certification is a must
6. postgreSQL Development experience
7. High availability hardcore experience
8. Shell Scripting
