*Sr. Network Engineer (Wired

*Location: Campbell CA (most of the work can be done remotely, but need to
be able to come into the office as needed so local candidates only

*Duration: 6 + months*

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for delivering network
solutions offered . This person will report directly to the Director of
Professional Services and work with a team of individuals focused on
primarily delivering, and secondarily selling, network solutions.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

Act as a subject matter expert in network solutions
Primarily, act as technical lead or individual contributor on
Professional Services project delivery teams
Secondarily, act as a technical liaison between the customer, sales team
and vendors to provide technical expertise in analyzing customer s
requirements, recommending solutions and assisting sales and other
engineers with the development of proposals, quotations, architectures and
presentations
Mentor peer and cross-functional engineers in learning, implementing, and
operating solutions

Essential Core Competencies:

5-10 years of practical industry knowledge (implementation and operations)
Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience with network and security
engineering (design, migration, implementation, operation)
(Very Strong) understand of L1-3 networking
o (Very strong) foundation in Route/Switch
o (Strong) experience troubleshooting L1-L3 at scale
o (Strong) experience deploying L1-L3 at scale
o (Moderate-Strong) experience with dynamic routing protocols (OSPF and BGP
minimum)
o CCNP+ Level of experience R/S or Datacenter
(Good/Strong) Experience deploying and troubleshooting L4-L7 devices
(LB, FWs)
o Cisco ASA and/or FirePower experience preferred
o CCNA+ Security preferred
(Very Strong) Experience working inside virtualized platforms
o Cisco UCS experience preferred
o VMware Experience preferred
o (Moderate+) Experience working on virtualized networks
(Moderate-Good+) Understanding of software-defined networking
o previous SDA/SDN experience preferred
o Cisco ACI experience preferred
o Working knowledge of VXLAN preferred
(Strong) Experience creating both high-level and low-level design
documents
o Microsoft Visio and/or Lucidcharts experience mandatory
(Moderate-Strong) Experience working with the following platforms:
o Cisco IOS
o Cisco NX-OS
o Arista EOS
o Experience with non-Cisco platforms strongly preferred
Ability to create and review Bill-of-Materials preferred
o Experience with Cisco CCW preferred
o Cisco BOM experience preferred
Comfortable assisting and engaging with a sales team on new and existing
opportunities
Practical deployment, design and operations of security for network
solutions is highly desirable
Comfortable recommending technologies related to customer needs
Additional Position Requirements and Specifications:
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with people or work independently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Bachelor s degree in Science/Engineering (not required with
relevant work experience)
Certifications related to network technologies preferred
Other appropriate IT recognized certifications desired. Must be willing
to obtain certifications
Broad understanding of cloud, virtualization, systems and storage
infrastructure technologies and products
Flexible work schedule depending on project/customer requirements
