Sr. LINUX System Administrator
Folsom, CA

Note: who have in depth production support experience?

Immediate and urgent need for a Sr. Linux System Administrator Consultant to assist with production issues with one of our multi-tenant hosted products.

Responsibilities:

Lead troubleshooting and resolution of issues on Linux servers beyond the capability of more junior personnel
Validate configuration of core system and open source software packages and identify gaps
Implement best practices for same
Inventory Linux system and application services and develop operational documentation
Train operational team on same

Qualifications:

5+ years Linux system administration experience in a production server environment
Deep understanding of Linux including network stacks and file systems such as iptables, systemd, sysv init, lvm, virtual ips
Experience using advanced troubleshooting tools including netstat, tcpdump, lsof, /proc
Basic proficiency with Linux shell scripting especially ability to read, troubleshoot, and correct existing shell scripts
Experience with the following a plus: RHEL, MySQL, MySQL replication and failover, GlusterFS, Ruby, and Consul
