Role:
Are you a detail oriented, hands on developer with experience architecting
and implementing complex applications in an enterprise environment? We are
looking for a senior Java developer/architect to join our innovation team
and help us build complex, distributed web applications. We are the internal
innovation team responsible for new technology and software projects. If
you have a passion for architecting and implementing high quality software
for client facing applications and have at least 5 - 7 years of enterprise
level Java development experience, we''d love to hear from you!
We''ll trust you to:
- Design and build complex services and frameworks using Java
- Develop RESTful web services and web integration APIs
- Develop dynamic web content using JavaScript, HTML5, angular.js
- Implement database abstraction layers for both traditional RDBMS ( Oracle
) and NOSQL data stores
- Participate in agile activities such as story grooming, code reviews and
retrospectives
- Actively engage in a culture of continuous learning and keep up with
technology trends
- Make recommendations for design and technology choices
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and address them
- Write thorough unit tests and champion unit testing amongst team
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and address production
issues
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of strong, enterprise level Java (Java EE) development experience
- 4+ years of experience designing/architecting complex, distributed
applications
- 3+ years of web development experience
- 3+ years of experience deploying and debugging apps in web application
servers (Glassfish, Tomcat, JBOSS, Web Logic)
- Hands on experience developing REST/SOAP web services
- Strong knowledge of OO design and design patterns
- Experience with web technologies including JavaScript, JQuery, Angular JS,
HTML5
- Familiarity and experience with distributed, in-memory platforms
- Linux/Unix shell / Python Scripting
- Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
- JUnit, unit testing, and mocking frameworks
- Familiarity with source code control system specifically SVN and Git
- BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
