Job Description :
Dynamic firm is looking for Senior Software Engineers and Architects with strong and deep experience to work with our technical teams to build highly scalable and performant applications for our Next Generation Inventory Grid and Platform for Tier 1 retailers.
You must have a very good background in scalable and highly performant architectures, scalability patterns, and technologies. You must have good communications and collaborative skills to work with our cross-functional team of product managers, architects, principal engineers, software engineers, test automation team and DevOps in an agile setup. You must be well schooled or experienced and truly understand low latency performant and scalable designs.
Responsibilities :
Architect, design, and develop micro services to support our consumer facing applications. Write quality code with careful attention to scalability, security and performance. Be quality focused, use continual testing, and participate in code-reviews with other software engineers.
Job requirements :
Strong in designing and developing highly performant and scalable applications using Java, micro services, Spring, REST, Hazelcast, Cassandra, Kafka, etc. You must have most of the following
BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience preferably with a focus on or have extensive experience in building distributed solutions, high performance and scalability
Very strong experience with high volume, transactional systems with emphasis on single digit millisecond response times and highly scalable (but complex) solutions
5 – 7 years of experience designing and developing secure object-oriented web services.
Strong DevOps experience to support zero-downtime upgrades and functionality deployment in large clusters
Experience with all phases of software development. You have been there and done it, multiple times. You have strong experience in Java and Restful API Development.
Strong experience with many of the following technologies. Preference will be given to engineers who can dive into the code of open source technologies and attribute performance or scalability issues to code, be able to postulate fixes, talk to the open source community and/or possibly contribute solutions
o Hazelcast
o Cassandra
o Kafka
o REST
o Web servers
Experience with developing Micro Services highly desired.
Some familiarity with exposing and securing APIs using an API Management Solution.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Test Driven Development and knowledge of mocking frameworks such as EasyMock, Mockito.
Some experience in at least a few of the following technologies in the below categories. The more the better:
o Spring Framework including, Spring Boot.
o Web Services: Spring, Jersey, Apache CXF, RESTEasy, Restlet
o Databases: Oracle, MySql, MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
o Distributed Cache: Redis, Coherence, Hazelcast
o Build & CI Tools: Maven, Jenkins, Gradle etc.
o Search & AI: Apache Solr, ElasticSearch, Natural Language Processing libraries (Stanford, apache
o Message Brokers: Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ.
Experience with Scrum, Agile Process, Unit Testing using Test Driven Development.
Developing and deploying applications on AWS or private cloud.
Expertise in Software Design and Architecture.
Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Great business acumen with a passion to solve for the customer. Supply-chain domain exposure will be an added plus.
