Designs, develops and tests program units; works on new systems development and enhancement/maintenance of existing systems; participates in implementations of new systems or modifications to existing systems to meet Information Systems and client business requirements. Prepares and updates documentation as appropriate. Typically 5-8 years of experience in the role.
7+ experience as Java/J2EE developer.
Diverse experience in developing/managing, web based and client-server applications using Java technologies using enterprise edition (Java EE), JavaServer Pages (JSP) and Java Servlets.
Must be fully acquainted with industry standards of Java frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JUnit and JDBC technologies.
Must have extensive experience in using Eclipse for Java development, deployment on WebSphere or similar application servers and familiarity with UNIX.
Understanding of LDAP, Active Directory, concepts of MFA, Single SignOn, Identity Management Systems is desired, but not mandatory.
Should have full understanding of code development lifecycle, using source safe in a multiple developer environments in an Agile/SCRUM team concept.
Excellent communications skills is very much desired, with aptitude for building strong working relationships with coworkers and management. Should be willing to suggest ideas, motivate for innovative solution ideas, think out of box and be willing to brainstorm solutions to deliver business objectives.
Must be willing to share knowledge, help fellow team members for collaborative problem solving.
Must have background of work that demonstrate willingness for taking responsibility and accountability of work assigned with minimal support from peers and team leaders.
