Position Description
Client is looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join the team in Raleigh, NC. The position is an opportunity to lead technical direction of highly visible internal and public facing web projects, support development of team members, and interact directly with the business. This technical leadership position will be supporting a high performing agile delivery team consisting of 8-10 members.
Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Provides expert level IT technical lead services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas.
2. Completes complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
3. Approves technical solutions proposed by team members. Elevates complex technical issues to IT experts, including architects.
4. Recommends development options, including design, build and test. Approves the team's technical deliverables. Conducts testing, including functionality, technical limitations, and security.
5. Resolves technical problems discovered by testers and internal clients. Responds to and resolves technical issues in a timely manner. Researches issues and performs root cause analysis.

o JAVA - JDK 8, Spring Frame work 4.x, Spring Boot
o Web technologies - HTML, CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript
o REST Services using JERSEY – JAX RS implementation and/or other JAX-RS frameworks
o Web Frameworks - Angular JS, Node.js , Spring MVC
o Oracle and Query Design, PL/SQL
o Unit Testing Frameworks: JUnit, Cucumber, Easy Mock and Mockito, Jasmine, Protractor, Selenium
Experience with modern software engineering practices
Healthcare knowledge is an advantage
Experience w/ Agile Methodologies
Must be willing to work diligently to meet project deadlines
Demonstrate strong desire to develop new technical and professional skills on a continual basis
