Job Description:
Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications
Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software
Designs, plans, and coordinates work teams
Provides technical support to project team members
Supervises and mentors new developers. Will supervise up to (4) employees based on company/department needs
As a Task Lead will have up to 6 employees to manage
Recognizes software programming problems/issues, provides proposed solution to manager and implements solution
Relies on experience and judgment to independently plan and accomplish goals with little to no supervision.
Qualifications
Minimum 9 to 10 years of experience utilizing Java
Experience using Geo Tools (PostGIS), Wireshark, JMS, JAXB, Webservices (SOAP)
In depth experience with an Object Oriented programming language
Understanding of Relational Databases
Actively participates and leads by example in organization’s software development policies and procedures. Recommends improvements to the policies and procedures.
Detailed knowledge of software build and deployment processes, procedures and tools.
In depth experience with Open Source Software
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of AngularJS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
