Position Description
CGI is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager who has strong hands-on application deployment experience for data center migrations. Candidate will be responsible for the performance of a medium to large sized technical projects involving application migration to Out Of Region (OOR) data center.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing and supervising support resources for the performance of project assignments and activities, and for managing the technical direction of a project through the design, implementation and testing in accordance with project objectives by using our Client''s program management tools to manage project work plans, issues, risks, and dependencies. In addition, you will be producing status reports and conducting status meetings, and will facilitate issue resolution and risk management sessions directly with our Client and CGI project team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Infrastructure and Application Deployment experience with Project Management.
PMP/ITIL Certification desired.
Excellent planning skills using industry planning applications (i.e. Microsoft project)
5-7+ years of relevant PM experience in IT consulting role
Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) desired.
Strong communication, client facing and relationship building skills
Ability to resolve highly complex technical issues and complex projects.
Ability to manage, coordinate, guide a project team of technical professionals, and ability to work well with senior management.
Outstanding leadership skills and strong attention to detail.
Self-starter, proactive, action oriented
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred, but not required: Experience supporting Out Of Region (OOR) Data Center Migration
