Sr. Hadoop Developer
St Louis, MO
Long term contract
Responsibilities:
Define recommended processes for data integration, management & transformation
Facilitate the selection of appropriate Hadoop and Hadoop ecosystem tools
Establish the reference architecture, processes, standards and technical framework
Data cleanup and transformation as preparation for analysis
Provide design and development expertise for large-scale, clustered data processing systems
Troubleshoot and debug Hadoop ecosystem run-time issues
Source huge volume of data from diversified data platforms into Hadoop platform
Assisting administration in commission and decommission of nodes, back up and recover Hadoop data using snapshots & high availability.
Good understanding of rack awareness and topology is preferred
Skills:
Must have 9-10 years of experience in software development using Hadoop
Strong experience with HDFS and Big Data integration
Familiarity with data loading tools like MapReduce
Experience in writing queries using Hive
Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Oozie
Working knowledge in NoSql database like; Hbase
