Role: Sr. Hadoop Admin
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
The Sr. Hadoop Administrator will join our Big Data team; collectively responsible for managing the Infrastructure and building the software each day ingests and enriches over 270 million security events (3.1 million /second) exposing data for search, forensic investigation, analytics and data science purposes.
Requirements:
Overall 10 years’ experience with 2+ years of Hadoop/Big Data administration experience with at least one of the following Hadoop distributions:
· Cloudera CDH and Cloudera Manager
· Hortonworks HDP and Ambari
· MAPR
· AWS EMR
Strong working knowledge of:
· TCP/IP networking concepts, including subnets and routing
· Information security principles
Preferences:
· 5+ years Linux Administration experience
· Experience with Automation tools, as well as scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python.
· Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
· Red Hat certification – RHCSA, RHSE or equivalent Red Hat Linux experience.
· Hadoop certification – HDPCA, CCAH or equivalent administration experience.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Day to Day operational support of our Cloudera Hadoop clusters in lab and production, at multi-petabyte scala.
· Deploy and manage common widely used services throughout the Hadoop ecosystem.
· Provide inputs to architectural designs, ensuring consistency, security, maintainability with respect to overall system.
· Improve tools and scripts that automate routine tasks and monitor system health.
· Make recommendations to improve general process efficiency and effectiveness.
· Train and mentor Secure works operational on supporting our clusters.
· Respond to health alerts generated by Cloudera Manger, Nagios and other monitoring systems.
· Participate in an active on-call rotation to provide after-hours response for critical service delivery incidents.
· Collaborate with multiple internal teams to resolve incidents and support requests.
