Sr. FINANCIALS ANALYST / Financials Business Analyst with HYPERION Planning / SAP Exp.
Location: Washington, DC
DURATION – July to December 2018
RATE - $all incl (travel included, no travel option unless built into rate)
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a financial analyst / BA with financial acumen and experience managing financial data in a tool (any tool SAP, Hyperion etc is most important and also problem solving skills.
Understand multiple enterprise hierarchies
Familiar with financial management concepts such as variances, capitalization, etc.
Experience managing data in a financial planning and consolidations system (Hyperion Planning and Essbase, Planview, etc)
Bulk load experience
The use of multiple planning scenarios
Accuracy, efficiency, error-checking

Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Document, test and maintain all metadata and rules changes related to chart of accounts, entities, scenarios and custom members
Prepare the system for the monthly reporting process, including data preparation, process management and update of system task flows
Execute security changes in systems ensuring that proper approvals are obtained.
Manage the development and maintenance of web forms, data grids, task lists and other templates
Develop and maintain reports
Research and coordinate resolution of system-related issues with the IT Infrastructure Group
Ensure compliance with all applicable change management processes and procedures including internal controls
Maintenance of the Development, QA and Production environments including preparing system documentation
Assist in the revision of historical reporting for changes in organizational structure
Assist in development of corporate accounting processes and policies as required
Assist in preparation of data for, and review with, external and internal auditors
Partner with key stakeholders to update, recommend and develop practices for more consistent and efficient processes
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration + relevant work experience supporting corporate finance applications
3-5 years’ experience supporting corporate finance applications
2+ years Hyperion Planning and Essbase (or similar tools) administrator experience or relevant consulting experience
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards and SOX control processes
Big 4 experience is a plus
Planning and Forecasting application experience preferred
Well organized and detail oriented with strong analytic, problem-solving skills and user troubleshooting skills
Ability to work cross functionally with teams to balance solutions in accordance with budget, schedule and tools
Ability to work in a fast paced environment – Should be able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines
Attention to detail - Should be able to complete accurate data entry and develop accurate written materials
Action orientated - Should be able to take initiative and resolve problems with little intervention from management and follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes
