Job Description:
The City of Richmond's Department of Information Technology is seeking three .Net developers to assist with upgrading and recreating existing legacy web-based solutions. Richmond City government has a variety of subject areas that they will be exposed to; public safety, community services, finance, legal, public works, public utilities and other sectors of public services. It is expected these developers will work on-site for a period of three months, which may be extended.
These Systems Developer positions require dedicated and focused self-starters who are capable of multi-tasking, have excellent communication skills with both business and Information Technology. This position requires skills in application design, software development, application testing, and documentation.
The primary application development environment includes web based applications utilizing Windows Application Server, Windows Web Servers running IIS, and MS SQL Server for database and batch applications. Web application development and integration of applications is a core function of systems development for these positions as the applicants will be responsible for analysis and developing critical web applications and interfaces for all assigned agencies.
Application integration is a core function of systems development for these positions. The applicants shall have senior-level experience and knowledge of designing, developing, and supporting applications using the following technologies:
ASP.Net (both web forms and MVC)
C#
Visual Studio Developer Suite 2015 (or above) including Team Foundation Server
MS SQL Server 2012 (or above)
Web Services including WCF
XML
HTML5
Additional Preferred Skills/Experiences:
Crystal Reports
Web API
ArcGIS (Esri) web services
JavaScript
Microsoft Office (e.g., Windows, Word, Visio, Excel)
