Position: Sr Developer
Rate/Salary: $90k
Duration: 3 Month Contract to Hire
Job Description:
* They are looking for people who can come in and know the basic technology but be willing to learn new things and the other things they don''t know already
* Oracle development will likely be about 50% of time work for the Sr. spot - someone who could go in and fix a report, make forms, and do PL/SQL procedures
* Mid-level spot will be working on JAVA, Angular and maybe some PL/SQL but not as big of a deal
* Have a lot of angular projects coming up
* Team of 9 developers - splitting of tasks/tiers worked- but at any time you could be asked to work on any of these technologies, Primary java devs, primary angular, pl sql, some work on legacy apps which are on oracle reports
* Environment of communication - taking something and running with it.
* If they run into a problem, they can ask questions but they need to be able to try to figure things out on their own or at least be willing to try (google/youtube, etc
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
* Not going to be working on a specific project. Project of the week they may be involved in.
* Some positions that have been open for a while but they never really backfilled them.
* Base technologies: Oracle Shop - Oracle DB, applications, interfaces, forms, reports (PL/SQL)
* Depending on the project 50% database (basic development but not DBA level or creating tables etc, the other percentage would be: object oriented background
* SR: Basic understanding of all that we do but focus likely will be 50% database development (PL/SQL) and JAVA
* Object oriented background - having that as a base (JAVA)
* Mid: Basic understand of all layers but focus will likely be front/mid tier (JAVA & Angular) - moving a lot over to Angular
