Job Title: Sr Data Warehouse / SSIS ETL Developer (REMOTE POSITION)
Cincinnati, OH
THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION COMING INTO OFFICE (Cincinnati) 1-2 times a month as needed.
Client is seeking a Sr Data Warehouse / SSIS ETL Developer for a position in the Cincinnati area. The SSIS/ ETL Developer will be responsible for analyzing source data against business requirements and understand what the business needs to accomplish with its data, then designing, developing and implementing highly efficient, highly scalable ETL processes. Main responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
Develop, maintain and support SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages related to the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) process using Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or later
Follow Agile practice
Write T-SQL queries, complex stored procedures and functions to perform database tasks such as inserts, updates and deletes
Responsible for data profiling as well as SQL and database tuning / optimization
Develop detailed technical specifications and ETL documentation in collaboration with data warehouse architect and Business Intelligence developers
Design ETL audit control and scheduling processes
Develop testing and implementation strategy, conduct appropriate functional and performance testing to identify and resolve process bottlenecks and data quality issues
Collaborate with Business Intelligence Developers through dashboard and application development process for requirements gathering, feedback on proposed designs and models, and acceptance testing
Be able to use Microsoft Data Quality Services (DQS) and Master Data Services (MDS) to create a knowledge-Driven solution, which includes using DQS features and setup the Knowledge Base (rules) to resolve data quality issues, such as Data Cleansing, Matching, Reference Data Services, Profiling and Monitoring.
Qualifications
4 + years of Microsoft SQL Server database development experience; working knowledge of software systems, infrastructures and Data Warehouse concepts and ETL development
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or later, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), T-SQL, SQL Query Analyzer, SQL Server Management Studio
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Well organized with attention to detail a must, along with good interpersonal skills and excellent time management skills are required
Working knowledge of computer operating systems (mainly Microsoft Windows Servers)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or related fields required
Special Knowledge and Skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server databases, T-SQL programming, advanced performance tuning skills (at least 4 years of proven experience)
Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server database security
Applied experience with Microsoft SQL Server version 2008 up through current version required
Development experience in Microsoft Visual Studio C#, VB.NET, Shell Scripts, Asp.Net, XHTML and XML
Development experience using SSIS to import/export multiple sources/destinations, using an execute SQL task with variables to replace dynamic SQL within a package, dynamically handle errors within any part of a package, custom logging to capture execution events and counts, script tasks and components to extend SSIS, consuming web services
Development experience creating configuration files to deploy the SSIS packages across all environments
Data Warehousing experience utilizing Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is a plus
EPIC Caboodle Administration Certification is a plus. If you do not have this experience, you will be required to go through training and get certification
