Title: Sr. Data Scientist (Forecasting)
Location : Atlanta, GA
Duration : 6 months
Candidate must be an expert Data Scientist and must have expertise with Forecasting. Excellent communication is required.
Job Description:
You will utilize the latest machine learning and statistical algorithms to create predictive and prescriptive models by detecting and exploiting patterns in massive datasets.
You will also create data visualizations and give presentations that will help key stakeholders in their decision-making process.
Ideal candidates will have experience developing intelligent agents that can automate decision making.
Daily Responsibilities:
Perform network analytics by discovering patterns in massive amounts of network data (Troubleshooting steps and results, Alarms, Historical data, etc and developing models.
Implement descriptive, predictive and prescriptive capabilities to improve the network diagnostics.
Work on the standardization, customization and ad-hoc data mining, managing the mechanisms to ingest, analyze, validate, normalize and clean data.
Manage the implementation of statistical data quality procedures on new data sources by applying rigorous iterative data analytics.
Develop and maintain data engineering best practices and contribute to Insights on data analytics and visualization concepts, methods and techniques.
Required Qualifications
8+ years working in a business Intelligence domain including, data visualization, machine learning, data mining, preparation and modeling
5+ years working as a Data Scientist delivering high quality projects
At least (3) demonstrated project working with forecasting rather than predictive analytics
Proven programming skills in either Python or R but having both is preferred
Proven track record of delivering projects utilizing Machine Learning and/or Statistical Learning
Proven experience manipulating big and noisy datasets (e.q. SQL, Pig, Hive)
Must be able to create presentations and deliver effectively to large audiences
Desired Qualifications
1+ years working in a telecom carrier network organization
Previous work on AI projects
Exposure to the Hadoop Ecosystem tools (e.g Spark, MapReduce/Tez) or other big data technologies
Ability to work autonomously and within a team onshore as well as offshore; and across multiple locations
Experience working with H2O, Tensor flow, AWS Deep Learning, Microsoft Azure, Spark MLlib or other modern machine learning frameworks
Experience working with Optaplanner, Google OR, or other linear optimization & constraint satisfaction frameworks.
Great intuition, curiosity and skepticism when analyzing data
Education: Preferred Masters of Science in Computer Science, Math or Scientific Computing; Data Analytics, Machine Learning nano degree. If they have only a Bachelor’s degree than it should be top 20 universities of India or US.
