Looking for a high level network engineer working with Alcatel Lucent 7750 and 7210 routers
The successful candidate will be a Data Network Design, Implementation and Planning Engineer within the Network Architecture/Engineering and Operations division within Carrier Solutions organization of client responsible for supporting and processing complex technical projects associated with the planning, optimization, implementing and maintaining systems and networks to support Layer 2 and Layer 3 transport and access services over data networks and direct Internet access
Responsibilities will include actively managing the design and maintenance of the network in all aspects, including LAN, WAN, and MAN networks, routers, switches, participation in network management servers’ upgrades and configuration
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technologies or similar technical or science disciplines or equivalent number of years of experience in the field of Data Networking.
Nine or More Years of experience in Carrier Network Services or Internet Service providers’ Data - -
No less than Five Years of experience in configuration and support of Nokia/Alcatel - Lucent SR-OS based network with Nokia implementation of IP/MPLS, BGP and VPRN based services.
Responsibilities:
Participate in CS LAN, MAN, WAN network segments design and implementation including introduction of new network protocols and architectures
Provide configuration and configuration templates for data network elements and services
Participate in analysis of network load and routing and provide support in efforts targeting network performance and reliability improvement, as well as capacity and routing optimization
Participate in trials of new networking products and software and introduction of new protocols and network software
Plan, design, implement and support E-LINE, E-LAN and VPRN services
Undertake special projects and deliver cross--functional training classes
Work with customers and vendors on a frequent and direct basis to resolve any maintenance or provisioning problems
Consult with sales for network designs and non--standard business opportunities
Develop plans to define, optimize, augment, and reconfigure the network based on actual and anticipated growth.
Investigate and propose tools for network reporting
Internet engineering, management and support:
Deploy CS Internet Service Provider network based on Nokia technologies
Allocate IP space as required by members and customers
Maintain current, accurate IP address space records
Design, implement and deploy routed IP/MPLS networks with BGP, OSPF, ISIS, LDP, RSVP-TE and other protocols as necessary for CS Internet Access network
Participate in design and implementation of ECS data network security
Design and implement end point security
Act as local Tier III technical support on all data networking issues
