Job Description :
Title : Data Architect
Location: Deerfield, IL 60015
Duration: 5-6 Months

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Strong technical knowledge of Data warehouse, Data mining, Star Schema’s, Data modelling and Data Governance, hands on experience with Business Intelligence techniques including but not limited to Analytics.
Experience in the SAP Power Designer
Experience in Dimensional modeling and Third Normal form
Experience in Metadata Management and Creating Data dictionary
Big Data experience is a must
Extensive programming experience in SQL, PL/SQL is required.
Performance Tuning & Optimization experience is required.
Experience in working for a Medical equipment/Pharmaceutical company is required.
Nice to have experience in Master Data Management
Nice to have on Columnar Data modeling techniques
Experience on data visualization techniques is required.

Accountable for:
Data architecture, Data models design, creation and maintenance
Data governance, Data Quality and Data compliance
Implementing Global BI systems in traditional and advanced analytical areas

Education/Experience:
Bachelor''s degree, in Information Technology, or other quantitative field
5+ years of BI analytics experience in a global or similarly structured organization
Proven success (5+ years) managing BI design and development is essential
Understanding and experience with big data technologies and platforms is highly desired
Must be able to solve complex business problems and present recommendations to senior management effectively
Must be able to define, shape, and drive solutions to completion while effectively collaborating with others
Experience working on all SDLC business processes: requirements, design, development, testing and deployment using Agile methodology
Experience working with the third-party external business partners and their technical teams in the support & implementation of BI and analytics solutions
Functional experience across a range of commercial business processes with an emphasis on profitability & revenue management, sales force effectiveness and market data integration is a plus
Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills required
Experience in Medical Device or other regulated industries is an asset

Language Skills:
Excellent command of English, verbally as well as written
Knowledge of other languages is an asset

Computer Skills:
Solid knowledge of data warehousing, data mining, power designer ,toad , IBM Cognos
Solid knowledge of BI application development process including Datastage
Solid Knowledge of Oracle Data Warehousing and Oracle Client Tools
Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite and MS Project is required
Basic knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
