Responsibilities:
Architect and design Cloud-based network infrastructure across all of our offices, stores, warehouses in an optimized, enterprise scale, highly available / performant and complex environment
Drive migrations of systems onto new cloud infrastructure including post migration support and educating team members about new systems operations
Assess future opportunities within both cloud native and cloud capable infrastructure
Act as final stop of escalated issues while mentoring more junior engineers or engineers with less cloud systems experience regarding best practices.
Work with PMs to create project plans for delivery of new network services in addition to monitoring projects against plans and eliminating issues.
Optimize performance of systems while creating maintenance best practices and find ways to drive efficiency using automation
Be happy to jump in and help by ‘getting hands dirty’ on projects across the network team within an SDLC and DevOps environment
Requirements:
Hands-on experience architecting and implementing cloud base network systems and driving migrations onto the cloud leveraging either Azure or AWS
Deep background with networking equipment including routers, load balancers, firewalls – Cisco background preferred
Background creating automation with PowerShell, Shell, or Python
Prior use of monitoring, infrastructure, and DevOps tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, Chef, Puppet
Expertise designing highly available, highly performant, and highly secure cloud base network system
Prior experience working with SDLC groups within a retail organization is preferred
Related Bachelor’s degree preferred, Cisco and or Cloud related certifications are a strong plus
