Position : Sr. Cloud Devops Engineer
Location : Denver, CO
Duration : 6+ months Contract

Job Description:

Experience with configuration management and orchestration tools (e.g. Ansible) in production environments
Strong development skills (e.g. Go, Python, C++) and understanding of software development tools like version control, continuous integration, continuous deployment, package management, and distribution
Experience with Docker containers and orchestration platforms especially Kubernetes (OpenShift)

Be able to meaningfully contribute the following tool sets:
Kubernetes
Jenkins
Git
NGINX
Go
Python
AWS
Automate the build, administer, and maintain container (Kubernetes) environments within hosted AWS infrastructure.
Develop tools for automated build, test, deployment and management of the platform software
Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack: hardware, software, network, and application
Day to day maintenance activities including but not limited to monitoring, deployments, production support, and performance turning of production environment sized environments
Strong understanding of AWS, VPC and scalable architectures
Design, develop and maintain next gen DevOps process comprising several stages including plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor
Work with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance and operability in mind

Requirements and preferred skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years of experience with Java and other scripting language such as Python, Perl, etc.
Deep understanding of cloud-scale and micro/macro-services architectures
Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD process for enterprise SaaS and on-prem applications using tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, etc.
Expertise in Linux System Admin and Bash Scripting
Hands on experience with NoSQL technologies (i.e. Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, etc and/or search-based datastores and libraries (Lucene, Solr, etc
Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Fabric, Puppet or SaltStack
Hands-on experience in building and administering VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Vagrant, Kubernetes, GKE, DockerUI, Kitematic, LXC, OpenVz or vSphere Integrated Containers
Experience in designing and maintaining cloud-based solutions with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform, etc.
Familiarity with logging and monitoring technologies such as Nagios, Log Insight and Datadog
Strong Communication Skills
Strong technical knowledge building mission critical/highly available service using current generation toolkits such as Spring, Dropwizard, REST Easy, or Node.JS
