Job Description :
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for procuring all materials necessary to produce company''s finished goods.This is an exempt position and reports directly to the Procurement Manager. The Senior Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end full-cycle procurement of raw materials, components, products, and will track delivery to the company''s co-packers and distribution center. This role is responsible for assuring that the requirements for these purchased items are filled in a timely and cost-effective manner and that stocking levels are properly maintained. Job Duties: Analyzes inventory requirements and determines amount of raw materials needed; Conducts stock analysis and ensures raw material / component inventory is constantly replenished in a timely manner and remains at sufficient levels. Leads in analyzing MRP system order requirements and manages the release of planned orders ensuring they meet specifications. Ensures that all P.O.''s are assigned and delegated to buyers. Maintains and updates the open order status spreadsheet and ensures data accurately reflects materials ordered in the MRP system. Leads in determining reporting needs and reporting metrics; generates any other as-needed reports. Timely places and tracks purchase orders, taking into account factors of QA/QC restrictions, lead times, storage capacity and escalates possible challenges to procurement manager. Evaluates vendor performance and works with Sourcing in improving vendor performance to provide a reliable supply chain.AIIII'?A^?AI'?A^?AII'?A^?AI'?A^? Partners with Sourcing to set EOQ (Economic Order Quantity per Raw Material Obtains required documentation of any material as specified by quality control department (certificate of analysis, packing list, MSDS, etc Resolves any quality, quantity or pricing issues concerning material with the vendor. Manages transportation of material from the supplier to the co-packer or to JFI''s distribution center. Ensures all logistical requirements in transporting of material meets specifications and delivery deadlines. Creates as needed workflow charts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and conducts trainings as needed. Works with Procurement Manager to analyze and improve productivity and efficiency in procurement processes. Performs additional related job duties or projects as instructed by supervisor. Job Requirements: Bachelor''s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred. APICS CPIM certification preferred. 2 years of experience in operations and/or supply chain roles that are both strategic and executional at a high growth Food, Pharma, Nutraceutical, e-commerce of Client company Experience in MRP supply planning and forecasting role with high growth organization preferred. Exceptional Excel and Analytical skills. Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and handle multiple deadlines Understanding of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Gmail suite of products. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all personality types and behaviors; flexibility Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast paced environment Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have working knowledge of Excel Experience with ERP systems required.
