Job Description :
Position: Sr. Business Analyst and Quality Assurance experience
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+ Months

Key Role: Work with Business Managers to understand and document requirements, and build QA plan, Test Cases, and Perform QA, and also manage other QA Testers onsite and offshore. Provide hands-on, tactical and analytical support to the software quality initiative lead. Review current operations and processes, perform data gathering and analyze software defects, and draft and edit reports or process documentation. Maintain responsibility for helping to write and edit plans, create process diagrams, build charts and graphics to support findings, and prepare updates on progress to leadership and stakeholders. Lead or facilitate small group discussions about problems, issues, and opportunities to improve. Apply expertise in software quality assurance and process improvement frameworks to identify and recommend changes that lead to measurable quality improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
6+ years of experience with professional systems delivery projects
Experience with creating and contributing to work products, including gap analysis, definition of to-be state, concept of operations, or modernization roadmap
Create traceability matrix, quality strategy, QA test cases, QA automation strategy and plan
Experience with using Microsoft Excel, Visio, and Project or (other similar products)
Ability to engage effectively with senior business and technical decision makers, technologists, functional SMEs, and other stakeholders regarding findings and recommendations
Ability to rapidly learn new technical concepts, practices, and principles
Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute work assignments, meet short-turn deadlines, and communicate and collaborate across the team
BA or BS degree in IT or Engineering

Additional Qualifications:
Experience with applying software quality assurance and process improvement frameworks, including ISO 9001, CMMI-DEV, or Six Sigma on software or systems projects
Experience with SDLC process or performance management, including the implementation of measurement programs, such as building indicators, identifying data sources, and facilitating the creation of performance measurement documentation
Experience with configuration management or release management, including using tools, such as Jira
Experience with IT requirements analysis
Experience with managing system operations applying ITIL
Experience with performing root cause analysis or hot wash activities with application or infrastructure teams
Ability to assess conditions and develop recommendations and solutions that align to the organizations high-level mission, vision, and capabilities and support the people, process, and technology
Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
