Sr Application Analyst - JDA

Job Description:
This position is responsible for the development and support of the JDA Supply Planning
applications (Demand, Fulfillment, Order Optimization The incumbent serves as a lead
business analyst in designing system solutions to meet the business requirements. This
position also functions as a lead technical resource with extensive experience in developing
effective technology solutions as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex business and
technical issues.

Primary (Essential) Functions:
· Serve as functional and technical IT lead for development and support of the JDA
Supply Planning applications
· Partner with internal customers and business leaders to understand their challenges
· Document and analyze incoming application requests and recommend solutions
· Execute all phases of a project lifecycle including requirements definition, functional
design, technical design, development, testing, and implementation
· Serve as the IT subject matter expert for the JDA Supply Planning applications
· Ensure application availability and resolve business and technical issues
· Partner with the JDA Cloud hosting partner on new development and for resolving
support issues
· Partner with SAP team for integration layer between JDA and SAP
· Serve as primary point of contact for relationship with JDA Support and manages
resolution and proper escalation of open support tickets
· Partner with consulting firms that are providing functional and technical services for the
application
· Determine root cause of issues and provide long-term resolution
· Provide technical expertise for application; this may require the development of UDTs,
UDCs, stored procedures, PL/SQL, IGP updates, scripting, and batch job management
· Monitor critical batch processes and proactively identifying problem trends
· Perform JDA test validation during high volume IT testing periods
· Create/maintain JDA application security roles

Secondary (Non-Essential) Functions:
· Provide production support to other IT systems when requested
· Other special projects and duties, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Working knowledge of JDA Demand and Fulfillment
· Experience with creating/maintaining JDA UDTs, UDCs, Oracle stored procedures,
Oracle PL/SQL, Framework Manager, application security
· Demonstrated understanding of the system development lifecycle process
· Ability to ask pertinent questions in order to understand the nature of the problem,
troubleshoot the problem, use diagnostic tools as needed, and resolve problems
· Proven superior customer service, ability to take initiative and proactively identify
opportunities for improvement, and strong work ethic are critical
· Ability to speak, understand and write in English
· Ability to use words meaningfully in communication, thinking and planning
· Ability to speak and present information and ideas to individuals and groups and
respond to questions from co-workers, vendors, clients and customers
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities to achieve results
within assigned deadlines in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
· Ability to absorb and retain information quickly, and apply common sense understanding
to follow instructions
· Ability to make decisions and work individually or in a team environment
· Must possess well developed analytical skills and be detail oriented
· Knowledge of retail merchandise supply chain preferred

Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related course of study, required
· Minimum seven years of IT experience or extensive involvement in development and
support of application software
· Minimum three years of experience and solid working knowledge of JDA Demand and
Fulfillment software
