Role: Sr. Apple Systems Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Duration: 6 months Contract-to-Hire
Interview mode: Phone and Face 2 Face
Description
Responsible for the planning and engineering of the Casper JSS world wide system and infrastructure.
Includes the implementation and design of hardware and software to support the Mac environment.
Monitors the performance of Casper, JSS, MySQL systems.
Requires a bachelors degree in area of specialty and 8-10 years of experience in Apple platform management and support.
Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within the Apple architecture and deployment best practices.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals as set forth by the customer.
Works under general supervision.
Experience in leading and directing the work of others.
JAMF Software certification a must (CCA a must; CCE/CJA a plus
Apple certification (ACSP a must; ACTC a plus
Collaborative (works with other Engineers, code checking, version control using GitHub, documentation using Confluence/Wiki
Skills/Tools:
Strong or Expert working knowledge of relevant/emerging technologies:
o UNIX shell scripting (bash a must, python/perl/ruby a plus)
o JAMF Software Casper Suite
o Device Enrollment Program (DEP)
o Volume Purchase Program (VPP)
o Mobile Device Management (MDM)
o Knowledge or experience with Load Balancers a plus (F5)
