Role: Splunk Consultant
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Type of hire: Contract
Job Description:
Setup and configure splunk in a large scale environment
Assist app team on creating and optimizing dashboards/searches
We work with app teams to promote Splunk best practices
We engage end-to-end on-boarding processes
Provide Splunk training, use cases demos, roadmap preventions, and solution reviews with app teams
Will solve problems and resolve Splunk technical issues
Key Qualifications:
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios.
Experience creating and optimizing dashboards/searches
Consistent track record of troubleshooting and resolving issues in live production environments and implementing strategies to eliminate them.
Can code using Python, Java, bash or similar languages.
Being able to effectively use a relational database and SQL queries
Strong grasp of Linux systems, networking, and security.
Education: BS, MS or PhD in Engineering or equivalent experience
