Job Description :
Responsibilities:
Install, run and manage Splunk.
Splunk Administration, general health of the Splunk Cluster, performance testing, patching splunk upgrades
Any automation framework (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
Monitoring Splunk license usage, making recommendations for verbosity of the logs with the application teams.
Responsible for creating best use tip sheets with Splunk.
90% work (Creating/Testing/Deploying Chef Cookbooks, Defining Standards, Working with Vendors
10% meetings (Splunk enhancements, changes, monitoring, and troubleshooting)

MUST have skills
3+ years Linux Admin
2+ years Splunk experience or equivalent
Previous automation experience
Splunk support so they need to be dedicated to solving the problems, dedicated to removing problems in the work flow, problem solving and complex situations

Preferred
Splunk at a scale at 2-3 terabytes a day
College BA
Experience with AWS
