Position Description:
EEIT - This position will be part of the DSC Attunity data landing team. The project objective is to replicate data from hundreds of database sources within the company to the DSC Hadoop environment. This position will require an individual who has a strong background with multiple database technologies, is very process focused and has expertise with the Hadoop environment. This role is part of a highly dynamic team supporting GDIA as part of the Enterprise and Emerging IT organization.
Skills Required:
.2 + years experience with either SQL, Oracle or DB2. Experience with more than one is preferred. .1 + years experience working with the Hadoop ecosystem .Experience with data replication such as ETL or within Hadoop using Kafka, Scoop, etc. .Excellent communication skills .Strong team player with experience working as part of an agile team .Independent self-starter who is able to work in a constantly evolving environment
Experience Preferred:
.Java development experience .Operational support experience .Experience with agile tools; Rally or others .Experience troubleshooting production issues
Education Required:
BS in Computer Science or related
