Job Title: Solutions Architect
Location: Tampa FL
Duration: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the Design, Customization, and Implementation of robust, secure, scalable system across n-tier platforms. The Architect will also help set the product direction and be responsible for evaluating and incorporating emerging standards and new technologies.
Work with the lines of business, support staff, and technology areas, to design a technical structure based on the existing standards and processes and meet the strategic needs of the business and integrate with other business and IT Processes.
Support, resolve and document issues that arise in the architecture. This may include reviewing designs and recommending improvements to the architecture.
Work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Creates and maintain Architecture artefacts and details.
Perform design, code and implementation review on a weekly basis and produce reports to Management. Work with support and network organizations to ensure end –to-end rollout is per the standards and architecture recommendations.
Advise leadership on technology architecture issues - Promote the development of technical infrastructure/architecture and standards to enable delivery to business domains
Required Skills / Experience:
10+ Years of solid experience in solution architecture in financial industry with experience in designing real-time systems.
Solid understanding and applied expertise in solutions architecture designs and concepts, which include but are not limited to: SDLC Process, Security, high availability, recovery, performance, monitoring and operations design, and application architecture.
Strong J2EE Framework knowledge and experience in architecting scalable web applications and web services / APIs using J2EE.
Working experience in Oracle, Apache Spark, STORM, Kafka and Cassendra
Knowledge and experience in ETL tools – Talend (Preferred)
Proven knowledge of implementing Web Application using HTML5, Object-Oriented Javascript (EXTJS, AngularJS, Bootstrap, JQuery etc.
Good knowledge of SQL and databases (Oracle)
Knowledge of Equity, Derivatives, Equity linked instruments, Prime Brokerage
Experience with Visio or other UML modeling tools
Strong analytical and communication skills
