Job Description :
Education Requirements: Bachelor Degree in a technical field closely related information technology such as mathematics, engineering, computer science, or information systems
Required Skills:
Must have development experience in either Java or .NET
Must have experience with using, tuning, and deploying solutions on a commercial database such as Oracle, SQL Server or DB2.
Must know how to develop and deploy structured configuration management processes using version control software such as TFS, Subversion, Git, etc. as well as issue tracking systems such as TFS, Bugzilla, ClearCase, etc.
Must have experience working with and developing design and requirements documents and artifacts such as Entity Relation Diagrams, UML diagrams, User Stories, Use Cases, Swim Lanes, etc.
Must have excellent technical problem solving skills, including identifying and addressing performance problems, system defects, hardware issues, etc.
Must have strong working knowledge of SLDC processes and how to operate under structured project management, including the need for various environments, system maintenance, risk avoidance, etc.
Must be able to work independently and provide proactive leadership in a complex environment with multiple teams.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including conducting presentations to teams and to customers. Must be able to break down complex technical topics into common language understandable by non-technical/business oriented audiences.
Recommended Skills:
Understanding of cost estimation for solutions, including infrastructure, licensed software, etc
Developing a pro/con model comparing various technologies to assist teams and business clients in selecting the best fit for a technical solution
Development in an Open Source development language such as PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.
Development experience in an Open Source database solution such as MySQL, Postgress, Mongo, Hadoop, etc.
Building ERDs, deploying structured database releases, and tuning SQL.
Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
Strong working knowledge of networking, including the use of firewalls, load balancers, routers, etc.
