Job Description :
A minimum of five year’s experience with z/OS (MVS SMP/E experience is required.
SYSPLEX experience is strongly desired:
Practical experience and/or exposure to IBM DB2, C.I.C.S. is preferred but not required.
General OS skills (TSO, SDSF, ISPF, etc…)
Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, and workload performance analysis
Coding / Reporting experience with one or more of the following (SQL, JCL, SAS, MXG, MICS, REXX, ASSEMBLER)
Familiar with one or more of the following mainframe monitors (RMF, IBM’s APA, Omegamon)
Experience with Workload Management balancing, MF Configuration, DB2, Remedy, Control-M or CA7, or Forecasting
Thorough familiarity with WLM and a wide variety of SMF data
Moderate familiarity with major environments such as CICS, DB2, MQ, and Websphere
Experience using monitoring and analysis tools such as RMF, Omegamon, and APA
Experience with Network products (VTAM, Netview, TCP/IP
An advanced knowledge of problem solving tools and techniques and the ability to perform and collect data required to solve complex system and component problems.
A working knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes and philosophy.
