Role Name : Solution Design / Business Analyst
Location : Pleasanton CA


Technical & functional Skills :

Analysis. Good understanding of analytical methods including excellent working knowledge of MS Excel. May also include analyzing ITSM system data (e.g. support groups, approval rules, routing, etc to help make recommendations regarding data clean-up and consolidation in support of the ITSM Project.
Data. Understands database basics and tools. Can manipulate and merge data via query, lookup and other means.
Reporting. Is knowledgeable about reporting tools and methods. Can translate analytical findings into reports that convey information simply and clearly.
Technical writing skills. Can translate user or business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa (translate technical information into user friendly language
can work independently with stakeholders and customers to understand current business requirements and how they might translate into solutions.
ITIL Foundations or any ITIL certifications
Communication and presentation. Excellent PowerPoint skills or ability to quickly develop with training. Strong listening and writing skills.
Technical awareness. Good understanding of basic IT concepts.
Results-oriented. Once assignment parameters defined, ability to work reasonably independently, but also knows when to seek additional guidance. Can deal with ambiguity and complexity. Makes good decisions on how to approach the assignment.
Positive attitude. Able to deal with setbacks and cope with difficult assignments and dependence on busy co-workers.
Tool & Process Knowledge: Prior knowledge or experience with Remedy ITSM, Service Now ITSM, SDLC, Service Catalog, Request Fulfillment, Incident, Problem, Change Management Processes, ITIL, IT Service Management (ITSM), Agile or Scrum Methodology would be helpful.
Other SW or Tools: MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, BOXi, One Note, WebEx, Skype & Outlook expertise preferred.
Positive, can-do attitude a must!
Strong aptitude for learning (ability to dig into something and figure it out on their own, and/or willingness to ask for help /clarification when needed)
Excellent work ethic; self-managed; output or deliverable focused
Able to work independently, as well as working with a team / part of a team (equally adept at working in a team and collaborating, as well as working independently)
