15 to 20 years in the IT industry
Work directly with customers to quickly and effectively understand business issues and challenges
Elicit business needs and assisting in the refinement of business requirements
Help to define the set of concepts, processes, and services that comprise the enterprise''s value chain and operations
Work with business and technology leaders to understand current and future-state process flows
Translate complex topics, concepts and business opportunities into possible solutions that will help the company take advantage of market opportunities or overcome business challenges
Engage with business and IT groups to align solution architecture with strategic business direction
Translate requirements into solution diagrams and other artifacts
Present artifacts to IT delivery teams to assist with the estimation and systems design process
Provide coaching and guidance on solution options (based on understanding of industry trends and customer expectations)
Build a trusted advisor relationship with business leaders
Contribute to a consolidated business and technology roadmap (ensuring that resources, interdependencies and business priorities are effectively aligned)
Facilitate or influence changes to product portfolio to improve competitive position and/or optimal product performance
Stay periodically engaged throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure ongoing alignment to solution architecture
Provide expertise to other members of the solution architecture team on select topics
Relevant undergraduate degree (Computer Science Engineering, etc or equivalent experiences
5 + years of Solutions Architecture experience (or equivalent enterprise architecture experience)
Experience of at least 5 years in customer-facing roles
Vertical domain knowledge in any one or more verticals (Media& Entertainment, eCommerce, Digital Payments, Manufacturing, Financial services)
MUST HAVE - In-depth, hands-on experience in developing web /mobile applications with either Java/J2EE or .NET tech stack and RDBMS database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL
Should have knowledge and experience in at least one of the following stacks - Python/Ruby/Angular JS/React/HTML5-CSS3-JavaScript/Node.JS
Deep knowledge of Microservices, REST APIs development, API Management
Should understand and be comfortable in Mobile App Dev (Native and Hybrid)
Should be familiar with emerging technologies such as chatbots, voice/conversational interfaces, RPA, machine learning, AR, etc.
MANDATORY EXPERTISE - Deep Expertise in any one or more of the following areas:
CLOUD Expertise: Must have built or worked on cloud native architectures; 12-factor Apps, Extremely savvy on cloud architectures. Experience with one or more of the major cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Google CP, MS Azure.
BIG DATA Expertise - Must have a solid understanding of the Big Data stack including the Hadoop, Spark and related big data technologies around open source
IOT Expertise - Solid knowledge of IoT related technologies in areas of industrial IOT, connected cars, smart cities, asset tracking, connected home. IOT architecture – sensors, data acquisition, data analysis, visualization, etc. Knowledge of IoT frameworks in the market such as ThingWorx, Amazon IoT, etc.
Familiarity with architecture modeling tools. TOGAF experience / certification desired but not necessary
Demonstrated success in quickly understanding business capabilities and aligning capabilities to solutions
Proven track record of designing / developing scalable solutions at the enterprise level
Experience delivering solutions using an Agile / Scrum methodology
End-to-end critical thinking skills and proven analytical capabilities
Strong communications skills (e.g. active listening, requirements elicitation, oral, written, presentation, group facilitation, consensus building)
Experience facilitating cross-functional teams to consensus on common solutions
Strong documentation skills (especially in support of enterprise standards and processes)
Experience estimating solution effort, resourcing and timelines
Experience white-boarding solutions and options in client-facing situations
