We are looking for a Solution Architect responsible and accountable for Hosting and Storage operations with 10+ years of hands-on experience on Wintel, VMWare / ESXI hosts, Citrix, Linux, Storage (Dell, EMC, NetApp) and Backup Hosts (ArcServe, UDP, Networker, NetBackup
Required Experience:
10+ years'' experience in a production IT environment designing, implementing and managing enterprise IT infrastructure, hardware, hosting service areas.
Proven experience and understanding of architecture principles across infrastructure platforms, security, data, integration and applications layers
Ability to write architectural design documents or review design documents provided by others. Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies and ability to apply trends to architectural needs
Responsibilities:
Architect, Design & deploy Multi-hypervisor (VMware or Hyper-V) infrastructure over Cisco UCS compute platform leveraging EMC VNX, IBM XOV, NetApp, and Dell SAN & NAS storage for proprietary applications
Provision Virtual infrastructure (Linked clones, thin disks, and de-duplication), snapshots for virtual servers, SAN storage management, High Availability & Distributed Resource scheduling
Solution and deploy datacenter backup & recovery using EMC Networker, NetBackup, AWS, Arcserve
Design, deploy, and support of virtual networking infrastructure
HP Blade, Dell EMC Rack design, build and support
Setup Disaster Recovery & backup environment
Architect & Design, Install and Configure VMware vCenter Enterprise environment (4.x, 5.x & 6)
Design and configure Cisco UCS blade with EMC, NetApp, IBM & DELL VMware products
Participate in requirements gathering sessions with departmental SMEs and IT personnel and translated business requirements into functional requirements
Review the architecture for new requirements, security, functional enhancements, and third party product integration translate into functional requirements
Datacenter workflow management, capacity planning (Compute, Storage & Network) & support
Estimate and establish agreed baselines for the Size, Schedule and Cost of the project
Develop and implement test plans, develop migration plans, and oversee implementations
Design corporate directory structure permission hierarchy and permissions for individual users, SharePoint and Active Directory groups, libraries, and lists
Provide solution recommendation to Client Service managers on the new designs, deployment plans, migration, incident management status & operational service enhancement
Interact with vendors, Datacenter hosting partners, third party applications group for the release planning and deployments
Analyze and constantly improve systems, processes and service levels
