Position Description/Responsibilities:

CAI is looking for a Solaris Administrator in Harrisburg, Pa.
This position will help guide hardware selection, server support and adminstration of the Solaris infrastructure. To excel in this position, the employee must:

Be technically proficient in all aspects of Solaris and Oracle Enterprise Linux
Strong knowledge of Solaris and Solaris clustering
Knowledge of tools that extend Active Directory security groups to Linux/Unix environments
Proactively assist in hardware management and configuration
Implement monitoring in support of operational awareness
Be willing to accept feedback and use iteration to improve processes
Provide technical guidance to less experienced administrators



Strategy • Understand business vision, strategy and priorities
Socialize solutions, services and roadmap; embrace input
Provide technical and process leadership for application and compute infrastructure automation, build, test, deployment, monitoring, metrics and issue tracking
Instill trust in application lifecycles through Security by Design principles
Embrace service and privilege segregation to limit “blast radius” of human or process failures 20%

Process • Develop processes to support prompt and reliable improvements to services
Provide operational intelligence through monitoring and event correlation
Take feedback and integrate into a change management process
Integrate new processes into existing TEIS processes and policies
Promote “least privilege” security to user access and processes
Leverage cost savings opportunities through resource reservation purchases and elastic services 40%

Skills • Expertise in design of secure, highly available, mission critical servers
Enterprise O/S platform experience (Solaris, OEL, Linux/Unix, Windows)
Programming / scripting development
Application development tools and frameworks
Application Lifecycle Build/Test/Deploy process
Change and issue tracking and management
Monitor and incident tracking and management
Effective training, presentation, and communication
Budget and expense tracking
Policy and audit goverance
Continuous learning 40%
