Barrister Global Services Network Inc. is currently looking for a motivated, highly detailed, organized and outgoing individual to support one of our major nationwide clients. The successful applicant should be able to quickly adapt their knowledge to the current IT environment and be able to enhance the current systems in place. They should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills so as to be understood by technical and non-technical personnel.


Job Summary :
We are looking for Software testing engineers familiar with SW testing processes, tools, and methodologies. Our client desires 5 on-site resources, but may consider one onsite SW Testing Leader/Manager and 4-5 off-shore resources who perform the work (Software Test Engineers)
They would like the onsite person to be an experienced in software testing methodologies and able to analyze internal process and make recommendations to improve their movement towards a Continuous Testing environment.

Responsibilities:

Go through the software requirements and get clarifications
Create or assist in creating own test plan
Generate test cases based on the requirements and other documents
Procure or create test data required for testing
Set up the required test beds (hardware, software and network)
Create or assist in creating assigned test automation
Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/ or automated)
Report defects (usually in a defect database) to the stakeholders
Create test logs and report test results to the stakeholders
Re-test resolved defects
Update test cases based on the discovered defects and test automation based on the updated test cases
Provide inputs to the team in order to improve the test process


Requirements:

US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Understand, Articulate and Communicate System NFR / SLA based on different Technology platforms/solutions.
3-5 Years of experience Software testing engineer
Minimal understanding of QA/QE/Agile concepts, test case management, defect management etc.
Understand System’s Tech Architecture, and should be able to identify different layers of tech solution based on a design discussion or architecture document.
Medium level proficiency in at least 1 programming language (C, Java, C#, Python
Medium level proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Relational and/or NoSQL Database platform.
At least 3 years of End-to-End Performance Testing (and preferably Performance Engineering) experience using mainstream Performance Test tool.
Basic understanding of Web service architecture, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTML.
Basic understanding of HW architecture, measuring units, acronyms, Virtualization concepts, Middleware technologies.
