Job Description:
Client is looking for a Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be a member of a team consisting of software developers and architects, business analysts, and project managers. You will work with a highly integrated learning management system to validate testing scenarios, and work closely with the Development team and the rest of the Agile team to provide best practice testing strategies. As a Quality Engineer, you''ll also be responsible for writing test cases and assisting the automation team with guidance on what should be automated and what tests should be maintained as manual. We''ll need you to be able to think creatively, be willing to learn new things, and adapt to rapid change.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and execute software test plans and test cases
Identify and file bugs accordingly
Perform manual and (some) automated testing using Cucumber
Support testing efforts around the integration points between Enterprise Service Bus, Learning Management System and Oracle
Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective actions.
Consult with development engineers in resolution of problems.
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in software verification, including web applications
Direct experience performing integration testing of external/internal applications
Knowledge of or experience with test automation using Cucumber, Selenium or Rspec
Experience working as a member of an Agile software development team
Must be able to work both independently and within a Scrum or Kanban team
Value-Adds:
User of the Linux operating system
Familiar with ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) and Oracle applications
Experience testing API''s
Experience with Ruby, Jruby, Parallel testing
Experience writing junit tests
Experience with Sikuli
Experience with eCommerce platforms
