Software Test Analyst - On behalf on our client in Higher Education, Procom Services is looking for a Software Test Analyst. This consultant will help develop tables against documented requirements and validate that technical specifications provided to ETL are properly implemented.

Software Test Analyst Job Details

Validates developed tables against documented requirements.
Validates that technical specifications provided to ETL were properly implemented.
Plans and runs regression tests for requirements validation and User Acceptance Tests.
Contributes to User Acceptance Testing, specifically:
Compares source and target data for completeness and documents issues;
Documents unexpected results and generates and manages error reports (i.e. JIRA issues) for requirements, data modelling, source data quality, and/or ETL.
Assesses and documents the extent to which project requirements have been met.
Runs previously developed regression tests in SPSS.
Documents test methodology, confirms test coverage for all data areas and conditions, and proposes refinements to test methodology as needed, including test automation.
Tests documentation portal for completeness (i.e. coverage of all fields, tables, business processes, etc, correctness (ex. alignment with project business rules), and clarity.
Tests business intelligence reports generated by Business Intelligence developer.
Reports and documents any issues found during testing.
Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.
Writes and maintains test automation.
Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.
Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
Writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing.
Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of results.
May train others.

Software Test Analyst Mandatory Skills

1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Contribute to a highly collaborative Agile team process.
Must have ability to work with existing tools and methodology previously developed by the team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to clearly communicate insights, especially as related to specific knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience to a diverse audience, including people with varying levels of technical familiarity.
Able to capture project contributions, your own and others, throughout the work to facilitate efficient replication and refinement of results.
Documents test results and communicates issues to developers for remediation.
Performs regression testing when remediation is claimed to be complete

Software Test Analyst Nice to Have Skills

Skilled at manipulating datasets
Prior experience with higher education data/reporting strongly preferred
Possess hands on knowledge of EIR Accessibility and required technical specifications (i.e. US Section 508 and WCAG2.0
Has experience with accessibility validation tools and assistive technologies such as screen readers.
Develops and executes accessibility test plans and test cases.
