TITLE: Software QA Analyst

Summary:
Discovery Communications is looking for an experienced Software QA Analyst to support testing of our Broadcast Management Systems (AdSales & Content The tester will participate in creating and executing test strategies, plans, and cases for complex media systems. Key Responsibilities
Test integrated hardware and software Broadcast Management Systems (media)
Create & execute software: test strategies, test plans, test cases, and reports, for Web and other platforms
Actively participate on an Agile team testing products with rapidly evolving requirements.
Work with Development & IT Infrastructure team to debug performance problems
Participate in technical design reviews to ensure user requirements are met by
Complete tasks with a minimal level of supervision
Requirements
7 + years overall QA experience
Experience testing Media products (broadcast Scheduling, Adsales, content) is a plus
3 + years testing in an Agile environment
Excellent skills defining, documenting, analyzing: test strategy, test plan, test cases, test results
Excellent test case execution and trouble shooting skills
6 years testing in web environments (web services, Java, JavaScript, J2EE, XML, SOAP UI)
3 years SQL experience (Oracle or SQL Must have very good SQL skills.
Experience testing system interfaces a (e.g., APIs, SOA, RESTFUL, JSON, proprietary)
Experience testing system data migrations
Experience working with Cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) is a plus
Experience with creating test case automation scripts is a plus
Possess a good understanding of application programming, database, system design, op systems and networking
Strong verbal and written communication skill; ability to work well across teams
Strong analytical skills - understand business processes and issues from business users
Bachelor''s degree in computer science or related field.
