Job Title :Software Engineer - Replication Control Plane

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: Contract

Your focus will be on developing replication capabilities for Springpath’s innovative distributed file system.
You will leverage your experience in building distributed, scalable server systems to develop the inter-cluster replication control plane for backup and for disaster recovery.

Responsibilities:

Bring your proven experience building scalable systems infrastructure to develop key features from the ground up for a clustered, de-duplicated, replicated storage system.
You will design, develop, test, and debug distributed control plane software modules, to enable remote backup and disaster recovery capabilities for a distributed file system.

Job Requirements:

To Succeed You Must Have Design and Development Experience with:
Scalable and Concurrent Systems Infrastructure
Control Plane for a Distributed Systems Product
VMware Storage Management
Java

a.Experience on VMWare API’s – Must
b.Replication Management – Must
c.Scala- Good to have
d.Java – Backend -interacting with VMWare
e.Python – Good to have

Desirable Expertise:

VMware storage management
Proficiency in Scala, and Python
Developing storage replication products
Secure network communications

Note: A strong VMware API + Java backend will also work here.
