Software Engineer (Java, Big Data, AWS/Cloud)

Long Term Contract
As a Software Engineer , you'll work on everything from customer-facing web and mobile applications using cutting-edge open source frameworks, to highly-available RESTful services, to back-end Java based systems using the hottest techniques in Big Data. You'll get an opportunity to work in emerging and traditional technologies such as: Spark, Kafka, AWS/Cloud Infrastructure, Hadoop, Scala, NoSQL databases, relational databases, node.js, Java, AngularJS, React, REST, JSON, XML, HTML5, CSS, and Chef to name a few.
What you’ll do:
-Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
-Continuously improve software engineering practices
-Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full-stack of development tools and technologies
-Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
-Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
-Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-boxthinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience
- At least 3 years of full-stack Java application development experience
- At least 2 years of experience in developing API’s
- At least 2 Years of experience working with relational databases
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience in Cloud technologies such as AWS
- At least 2 years’ experience in Build and CICD technologies GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus
- At least 2 years’ experience in Quality Assurance technologies JUnit, SoapUI or Postman
- At least 2 years’ experience in Unix Shell Scripting
- At least 2 years’ experience with HP JMeter, Splunk, BlueStripe, CloudWatch or Zabbix
- At least 2 years’ experience with Agile methodologies Scrum, SAFe or Kanban
- At least 2 years’ experience with Open-Source or public GitHub projects
- At least 2 years using Spring or Jersey for public cloud deployment
- Certified in Java, Spring or AWS technologies
- At least 2 years’ experience with FIS XPRESS Server Services
