Job Description:
Manager is not in IT, but runs a training group that focuses on e-Learning.
Has a few highly technical engineers on the team
Currently building a new training tool for USCM- This tool will have a
''flight simulator'' component to the training. The new hire will be able to
get real time scenario questions and feedback.
Current team- 3 other developers, very collaborative environment
Currently have a Mongo Database with Java API connections, ideally this
contractor would be a full stack Developer, but if anything they need a
stronger Front End. Heavy JSON Angular skills (not much design)
Previously they have taken the Simulator layer (the piece that drives the
situation/in the moment) and built that on top of a replicated training
environment. This has created a lot of manual/corrective work whenever IT
makes an enhancement to the original training tool.
Now currently, IT is not utilizing Guidewire (building their own front end
Current team is taking a piece of the new ''Guidewire replacement'' code and
using that as a base and then building/integrating simulator.
Currently the office in Hopkinton but moving to Weston at the end to July
moving. Going to be a lot of work from home flexibility.
